New Woodland Adventure area created!

On Saturday some of the teachers, parents, children, friends and family joined together and worked really hard to clear our wooded area which had become very overgrown and difficult to access. Lots of trees and shrubs were given a good haircut and thanks to the generosity of Herefordshire Housing who donated a chipper for the morning we were also able to clear away all the debris! The previous week had seen lots of rain and very high winds but luckily Saturday morning was dry and beautiful! Once the area had been cleared we were able to create the tyre challenge and the story circle, along with a new access gate which will allow all our children to enjoy the area. We also discovered some old planters which had fallen into misuse and have recycled them in order to create our raised planters which the children have decided they would like to use to grow vegetables. Huge thanks go to everyone who gave their time and efforts so generously and to Mel who organized the whole event. We are all looking forward to making great use of this fantastic new outdoor learning opportunity.
