Jubilee fun!

Hello Everyone!

We are looking forward to seeing the children tomorrow. We hope you had a great half term break, despite the weather!

Can you believe we are about to start our final term, where has the time gone!

We will kick off this week focusing on The Queen's Jubilee and then move on to our topic "Pirates". Have a look below at a few videos linked to the Jubilee and some of the books we will be sharing this term. I am sure we are going to have lots of fun smiley

We all brought in a soft toy from home and had a teddy bear's picnic for our final week of "Toys" smiley

The children have come back to school very happy and ready to learn, which has been wonderful to see.

This term's topic is "Toys". We are starting it by using the book "The Lost Teddy" Please see below some of the fabulous books we will be sharing.

We had a lovely time decorating biscuits!

Wrens class has had fun preparing for Red Nose Day. Today we will be decorating Red Nose biscuits, doing some Red Nose colouring and being animals!

Wrens class enjoyed playing outside in the lovely weather this afternoon.

Police Officers, Claire and Meg, visited us this afternoon.

The children loved going in their car and listening to the siren. Claire is Nicola's sister. Thank you very much for arranging it for us Nicola!

Happy St. David's Day!

We will have lots of fun this half term, our topic is "Real Heroes"! We have introduced it using the book "Emergency" by Margaret Mayo, focusing on Firefighters. We will be reading a few of her wonderful rhyming stories, have a look below at some of the books we will be readingsmiley

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and some special family time.

Our topic this term is "Colour". We will be popping up some information and the books we will be reading in the next few days.

Staff are back tomorrow and are looking forward to seeing the children on Thursday 6th January.

Wow Wrens Class loved the visit from Lyndsey from Rainforest Exotics!

She brought in some of her exotic pets and told us all about them. We loved touching them and feeling their different textures.

Hello Wrens! 

We hope you have had a wonderful half term holiday and are looking forward to coming back to school.

We will start this half term with a topic on "Pets" and then move on to "Christmas" in December.

We have a science week at the start of the term so we will be experimenting with different substances. 

Diwali is at the beginning of November and we will be using the beautiful book "Rama and Sita", illustrated by the fabulous artist Christopher Corr, he really brings the story alive and we are sure the children will love it.

Hairy Maclary is a fantastic rhyming story. The author and illustrator, Lynley Dodd, has written a series of books about the adorable black dog. We will be reading several of them as part of our letters and sounds activities.

Welcome to Wrens Class

We are going to have lots of fun this year!

We love books in Wren's Class and are really enjoying our new reading room.

Our topic this half-term is "Traditional Tales".

We will listen to some familiar stories, act out stories, sing songs and join in many wonderful activities linked to this topic.

Our first book will be "Goldilocks and the 3 bears" smiley
