Letters and Sounds
Revisit the sounds we learnt last week. Say it, read it, write it! Please show me any words you have managed to write or spell. I would love to give out some more certificates!
Watch the video of the story again, what does Stanley pretend his sticks are? Collect some big stones and paint or use a paintbrush and water to draw them or write the names of his sticks OR draw pictures of Stanley’s different sticks
Can you put them in the right order?
(Stanley pretends his sticks are a whistle, banana, match, dinosaur, rocket, spoon, saxophone, fishing rod, telescope, sail)
Using sticks in mud/ water practice forming the letters of the alphabet saying the sentences from the activity sheet
Can you measure the length, width and height of different sticks? Which one is longer or shorter?
Use a ruler to find the exact length, width and height and record your answers.
Make your own wreath like this photo using sticks and whatever you can find to hold them together (string, cellotape, hair bobbles). Be creative dip them in paint or glitter to make yours stand out from the crowd! Add flowers/leaves for some extra wow!
