Now we know what day it is, it is time to sing our 'hello song'!

Today's activity is very similar to the ones we did yesterday. The activities today are listed on the lesson plan below. Have fun playing along!
Activity 2 – My Communication, Language and Literacy
- Today’s activity you need to go and explore your garden. If you don’t have access to a garden you can go to a park or for a walk around a wooded area/field that’s close to you. When in your outdoor area you are going to go on a hunt to see what you find. Take a bucket or bag to collect all the different things you can find. You might find a flowers, sticks, grass or different coloured leaves. When collecting the object discuss with your child what the objects are like (colour, shape, size, etc.).
- When back inside find the ‘In my Garden’ writing sheet in your resource pack. Support your child making a list of all the different things they found!
If your child found a stick ask what sound does the word sssstick start with? Then support your child writing ‘s’. If they are finding writing the sound tricky they can point to the correct sound on the phonics sheet or put the correct magnetic letter (if you have some), or they could cut and stick the images off the support sheet. Use the phonics sheet to support your child during these writing tasks. Try and encourage them to write 5 things they found!
- After, they can draw a picture of all the different things they found!

EXT- If they are secure identifying the initial sounds encourage them to write the other sounds they can hear in the word.

Hello!
Get your child moving with Cosmic Kids. It is important to keep active during these times and these videos are a fun way to continue your child’s physical development. The video is around 40 minutes long so do as much or as little as you like. This week’s video theme is Making Wishes, you will also take part in the Yoga disco and meet Betsy the Banana!
