Activity 2 


Good morning, please see the activity plan, phonics video and resources below. 

Activity 3 - My thinking 



Slowly slide a 1-10 no. card up from behind a ‘wall’. Support your child to  guess what no. it might be, holding up digit cards/fans to answer. Could it be a 9? Why not? What could it be? Include curly & straight-topped 3s, open & closed 4s and even upside down no.s


Main: Pass round 4 diff boxes with lids, with 5, 7. 10 & 14 objects inside, e.g. play people/Lego™ figures. Support you child to guess which box has most. (The largest box should NOT contain the most!) Take the lid off one box and discuss how it is quite difficult to count them when they are in the box.


Ask your child to tip them out and arrange in a line, then to count them from the left, touching each object as s/he does so. Rpt for each box. Agree which box had most and which had least. Watch out if your child  says the  longest line has most regardless of how many are in it
