More celebrations.
We produced paintings for Holi.
Then we celebrated the Italian festival of Infiorata (Flower festival), making lion faces with Dandelions and cooking pizzas outside in the pizza oven.

This half term is about the past and remembrance. We will be looking at our feelings and at the times when we are happy.
Going towards Christmas we will be preparing for our Christmas performance.
We have used the story of The Colour Monster to look at colours and our feelings. We enjoyed the story massage of the story. We mixed paint to create new colours and in P.E we have been doing gymnastics.
We also experienced the sensory story of the Blitz to begin to understand how frightening it would have been. In cookery we made ration vegetable soup.
We planted bulbs ready for the spring.

Welcome to Woodpeckers class.
We are a group of nine children, six Year 5 and three Year 6. Many of us have sensory needs that have to be met throughout the day.
We are looking forward to having lots of fun this year and we will probably be getting messy!
Our topic this half-term is 'Inventors and Inventions' and we are starting it using the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as inspiration.
