Following on from our Firefighters week, we have been exploring 'Police' making neon patterns and collages for police cars and sitting in a real Police Car! We have also made ladybird pizzas as part of World Book Day and shared our favourite stories!

We celebrated Science week with the theme of 'time', we have planted cress and have been watching it grow, explored seasons through our Attention Autism activities and watched balloons expand as they fill with air from our fizzy experiments.

This week we have been celebrating Spring and Easter with lots of Easter crafts and songs. We have been modelling and using communication boards to help us choose what materials we need or which songs we would like to sing.

We have also enjoyed making some Easter nests for us to take home!

We have had a very exciting couple of weeks reading our story, 'What the ladybird heard' we have all enjoyed holding the different animals, mark making in chocolatey mud and making animal sounds. We have also been exploring firefighters this week we have been role playing putting out fires and trying on a real fire fighter costume! We have also opened up a Doctor's surgery in our classroom and hero dressing up corner.

We have been so busy this term exploring colour in many different ways. We have enjoyed mixing colours using pipettes and food colouring. Listening and following instructions brilliantly. We also enjoyed using practising our knife skills cutting different coloured fruits. We have been matching shapes and exploring fruit and vegetables in our class shop. To end the term we have also been making pancakes- we had lots of fun trying to toss the pretend ones in the frying pan!

We love our music sessions with Alison. The children had lots of fun exploring the chime bars today. We also had lots of fun playing parachute games and using the different coloured silks to enhance our story of the week; 'The Colour Monster'.

Musical fun!
