Activity 3 - my thinking
Starter: Play finger aerobics. Shuffle a pack of 1-10 cards. Show a card, but don’t read it. Child quickly claps the amount of the number on the card
Exploring more and less. Use: lego, blocks, crayons, beads etc.
Start with an obvious amount of more and less 1-10. Ask your child which one has more? Which one has less?
Then continue with different amounts up to 10. When there is a difference of 1 or 2 support your child to count the objects to find which one had more/less e.g. 5 -6 etc.
Try with different sized objects.
Too easy- introduce the concept of the same
