Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a good Christmas break.
Our key text this term is 'Can't You Sleep Little Bear?' and out topic is Light and Dark.
As part of our learning this term will be making a sensory cave for the children to explore in class. Each child will be making their own book, titled 'Light and Dark', and they will be encouraged to make their own editorial decisions about the content and design of their books.
Another focus for this term is to encourage the children's reading for pleasure using our school library and book corner for daily reading sessions.
We are looking forward to welcoming the children back for a happy 2025!

Our term is flying by!
The topic this term is the Arctic and Antarctic, we are learning about the animals, which live there and how they keep warm. We will also think about how the famous resident of the North Pole might keep warm and travel around in the snow and ice.
We are looking forward to a busy term of learning fun!
