Eagles

Welcome to Eagles Class Page.

We are some of the oldest pupils in school and are looking forward to lots of learning and adventures this year. There are nine pupils in total; five Year 6 pupils and four Year 5 pupils.

The staff in Eagles are Anke, Bridget, Chloe, Ibi, Julie, Trudy and Shann.

Our topic this term is 'The seaside now and then'.

World Book Day.

We looked at the text 'I want my hat back'. It's a brilliant book about a bear who loses his hat and a rabbit who meets an unfortunate end!

We had a great day trying on lots of different hats, designing and making our own hats, and creating some of the characters from the book out of craft items and food.

Happy New Year!

We've had a great start back to the Spring term and have been talking about our hopes and dreams for 2023. Some of us want to get active by biking, swimming and running; someone hoped that everyone had a happy birthday and several people hoped they'd have more visits to McDonalds!

We made some beautiful collages to go with our work.

Christmas in Eagles.

We've had a fantastic run up to Christmas enjoying a visit from Father Christmas, making our classroom look festive and taking part in our school pantomime- 'Biff, Chip and Kipper go to Pantoland!'

Eagles 'Experience Christmas' at Hereford Cathedral

We were lucky enough to go to Hereford Cathedral to kick off the festive season. We were told about the story of Christmas and got to smell some real frankincense and myrrh. We also got to have a good look around the building. What a great morning!

Curriculum Visit to Longtown Activity Centre.

As part of the 'Sports Games' we were given the chance to go to Longtown and take part in an afternoon of outdoor activities. Luckily, the sun shone and we had a great time exploring the low ropes, taking part in a crane challenge and experiencing a blind folded sensory trail.

Our Electrifying topic!

As part of our science work on 'Electricity' we have made some fantastic circuits. We had a brilliant session exploring how to create single and parallel circuits.

We've been working hard in Eagles this week. Here are some photos of what we've been up to.

We completed this fantastic puzzle showing 'Mallard'

We have been ordering 2-digit numbers.

We are looking at the Christian Creation story in RE and are creating some art work inspired by it.

Some of the Eagles took part in Bikeablility last week. We had a great time and all gained our Level 1 certificate. We're hoping to go back later in the year so we can all have a go and some of us can work towards Level 2!

We've been working hard and having lots of fun so far this term. Have a look a what we've been up to!
