Visit from Father Christmas

This week our story is Lost and Found. A beautiful book about friendship and an adventure to the South Pole. The children loved the story and in our art lesson we made a boat, out of different junk items.

We then did a little test to see if our boats would sink or float. We were quite successful.

See the photos below.

We have loved learning about electricity this term. Today we had lots of fun making circuits. See how we make a light bulb glow. We also learnt about complete and incomplete circuits.

As part of our topic, Diverse Britan. We were very lucky to have a visit from the Imam today in school. He told us all about how the Muslims worship. We have been reading the story Proudest Blue in class and the Imam showed us how to wear a Hijab.

Electricity hunt around school

The first few weeks of term our story is Paddington's post. While reading we found out Paddington's favourite sandwich filling is marmalade. We had to make some to see what if they were as good as Paddington said.
