My Communication

Focus: To remember the story.

Starter: Re-read the story (if you need to) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc3AUuuj9_I. Go over the key parts. Asking the children questions checking their engagement. See if they can point out the main characters. What can they see in the pictures.

Activity: In your packs, you will find a story comprehension. Ask your child the questions and see if they can choose and circle the correct answer.

My Thinking

Make 2d shapes using cellotape – stick to the carpet or on the table. Can you use colouring pencils, lego, bricks, leaves, sticks or anything else you can find to make the same shape underneath?

My Independence

Focus: Forest School

Make a leave tile using salt dough.

Below you will find a recipe for salt. Together read it through with your child and follow the instruction. We love cooking and making in school so this should be lots of fun. Once you have made your salt dough, go outside for a walk to the park or just in the garden to find some leaves and natural materials. Once you have collected your materials get your salt dough ready. We have been learning about shape this week, what shape tile does your child want to make? Once you have chosen a shape, decorate the tile with the materials you found outside. The leave to air dry. Make as many as you want and send pictures in to your class teacher, we would love to see what you have made.
