Swifts
Key Text: Where the Wild Things Are
Welcome Back!
The team in Swifts class hopes you've had a wonderful easter break.
We look forward to welcoming you back to another exciting term full of many exciting learning opportunities. As the weather begins to brighten, we aim to have more trips out into the community for the children to really enhance their independence skills. Furthermore, we will be exploring the topic of 'explorers.' We will be exploring a range of subjects in what makes a good explorer. Including transport, places and of course, famous explorers themselves. We will also look into being explorers ourselves, exploring a range of habitats using our senses to enhance our knowledge of the world around us.
Children will continue to work on a sensory based curriculum and still work towards their progress in maths and phonics.

Welcome to Swifts Class
We are looking forward to welcoming you back to another exciting half term in Swifts class. This term we will be continuing on our topic 'Light & Dark' where we will explore light in the absence/presence of darkness. We will be using a range of sensory exploration and messy play to aid a broader understanding of the topic. We will also be exploring space and the solar system and will participate in a range of activities all to do with natural and unnatural light.
Our topic book this term is 'Can't you sleep, Little Bear' by Martin Waddell which has and will continue to inform our learning throughout the Term.
We look forward to welcoming all our children back and having lots of fun this term! We hope you are enjoying our learning journey so far and all the fun things we have been getting up to!
John Paul & the Swifts team.
